About this Speaker

Former Teaching Principal of Eglish Primary School, a ‘DCU Changemaker School’, in East Galway since 2012, Siobhán has been teaching since 1992. She spent 8 of those years teaching in Japan, Switzerland, France and Saudi Arabia. TEDx Speaker and the current 2016 and 2014, Irish National ‘EU Direct’ Soapbox champion, Siobhán has won many awards for public speaking. Passionate about helping all children develop their communication and public speaking skills, she is the Creator and Designer of the ‘LET’s Stand’ Oral Language, Public Speaking Programme for children (aged 5-18). Siobhán recently completed her Doctoral Thesis on the topic of ‘Public Speaking in Primary Schools.   Through enabling students to find and use their own voice, Siobhán’s vision is to empower students from all backgrounds to share their stories and to become ‘Changemakers’ and the best versions of themselves. Siobhán is the recipient of the 2017 IPPN Leadership award.
