About this Speaker
In his role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), Dr Patrick Sullivan has responsibility for early childhood and primary education. As a former primary school teacher and principal, Patrick is committed to supporting all children and educators through the development of inclusive and holistic curricula. Since joining the NCCA in 2013, he has been involved in a number of notable projects including: Education about Religions and Beliefs and Ethics; the Review of Relationships and Sexuality Education; the Primary Language Curriculum/Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile; updating Aistear- the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework; and the ongoing work in redeveloping the entire Primary School Curriculum.
