About this Speaker

Carrie is the Professional Learning and Development Coordinator for CDETB. She is qualified in special education and has worked in Further Education and Training for 13 years. She currently facilitates a Professional Learning Network for teachers working in a support capacity in FET colleges in CDETB. Carrie is passionate about inclusion and diversity and her research area is the visibility of LGBTQ+ staff and learners in FET. She is associate faculty with NCI where she lectures on assessment, feedback, and learner support. She is also an associate fellow with TCD where she lectures on UDL as part of a Postgraduate Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion for FET, a course for which she was part of the design team.
